Briant Christensen Eagle and Denali Award

On Aug. 11th, Briant Christensen received his Eagle Award. His Brother Jeremy, also an Eagle Scout, read him the Eagle oath. It was a special evening as all of his siblings were there except one. His cousin, Preston, was visiting from California and is also a brand new Scout. It was fun to Preston to see Briant get his Eagle as this is Prestons goal in Scouts too.

Briant's Eagle project was to move the existing flag pole at the church from the front of the building back to the bowery area where it can be better utilized for outdoor gatherings that will want to have a flag ceremony. We acknowledge James Merrill of College Ward for putting up the flag pole for his Eagle project in 1984.

Briant continues to serve younger Scouts as he has worked at Scout camps for the past two summers and is already talking about doing it again next summer. He also won first place at the Varsity games this Spring for his knowledge of the Varsity Scout program. Along with his Eagle rank, Briant also received the Denali award which is the highest award in the Varsity Scout program.

Congratulations to Briant!!
