Journal Entry by Avery Daugs:
On the first day it rained for a couple of hours. During that time we did a game called "GuGa Ball". The rain stopped and we went to the waterfront and canoed. We took the canoes to a cliff. We all jumped off the cliff. The trip there and back was about 40 minutes long each way. Then, in the evening, we had a flag ceremony and camp program. The program had lots of fun songs and skits.
The second day, we went repelling and rock climbing. We did that for a couple of hours. Then, we did the C.O.P.E. course (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience). It involves lots of physical and mental strength. In the afternoon we went shooting. There was archery and pistols. We enjoyed the last evening on a honor trail about what a scout is.
On the final day, we did a hike to see the sunrise. We also did a Browning Challenge. It is a relay consisting of canoeing, running, repelling, climbing, running, COPE, running, tomahawk. We placed third over all. Then, we packed up and went home. A good time was had by all!!! Thanks to the leaders for all their hard work and service!
